Currently sailing about 15 NM from the coast heading West! The afternoon started with light rain and the breeze on the nose. Rain has now cleared and we have a nice 15-20 knt southerly breeze, so finally have the sails up and sailing between 6 to 9 knot speed. Hope the twilight is fun at South of Perth YC tonight - wish I was there!!

I don't think you'd really like to be twilighting tonight. Severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Perth this afternoon with a 70% chance of rain and possible hail.
ReplyDeleteHAIL !??!
ReplyDeleteDeidre - I didn't hear that ... I'm NOT getting hail in my bubbles... !
Janette -as you get some nice sailing weather, "Endorfin" has rounded Augusta & is having a thumping time of it.
That is shame for them but I am very happy we have some favourable wind xx
ReplyDeleteI hope you get favourable wind and not the storm we have this afternoon. Smooth sailing looking forward to your blog from Albany.
ReplyDeleteActually calmer now. Think our thunder/lightning/rain/ hail has passed. At home, worried about hail damage on the car so didn't twilight. Thinking of you. Not long until you're in WA waters. X
ReplyDeleteTwilight cancelled - 15 p;us knots is too strong! Wimps compared to you four. xxxx
ReplyDeleteSailing on the river will probably be a bit "tame" for you guys after this adventure
ReplyDeleteJust what I was thinking, Linda !!
